The best argument for a round coffee table is that small children will not run the risk of injury, which may occur on encountering the sharp edges of a rectangular or square table. However, a round coffee table is probably best placed in a corner where it will comfortably hold a table lamp, your coffee cup and an ornament or two, making maximum use of available space. A good choice for a round coffee table is one which has two levels, doubling the capacity. Two round tables may be placed at either end of the sofa making attractive and efficient use of space.
